Kerwin attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison for his undergraduate studies. Kerwin also received his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the UW-Madison. He interned at orthopedic clinics including the University of Michigan MedSport, and the Mayo Clinic. He specializes in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine.
At Orland Park Orthopedics, he understands the importance of physical therapy as part of the team approach for recovery from injury, and understands the difficulty patients face during the rehabilitation process.
He strongly believes in the patient-first approach of correcting the imbalances brought on by injury through evidence based practice, and stimulates patient participation by fostering independence with the development of sound home exercise programs.
He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
